“A limb has fallen from the family tree.”
Robert “Bobby” Lyle Clark, 56, of Chanute, left this earth peacefully at home on Friday, Nov. 29, 2024, surrounded by love after a two-year battle with cancer.
Bobby was born in Wichita on June 25, 1968. He was the youngest of the three children, having his mother to look up to and gaining a remarkable friendship with his siblings. He was a wonderful single father to his two daughters and prayed for his son’s success. He loved his girlfriend as she stood by his side until his last breath.
Bobby spent his life striving for happiness and teaching everybody along the way what love and loyalty really was. He was funny, brave, smart and compassionate. He loved going on nature walks and enjoying the fresh air. He was always up for adventures and made everybody around him laugh. Bobby had an amazing sense of humor and loved to speak his mind. Realizing he had a talent for cooking, he used that to accomplish his goals and became a phenomenal cook at the Grain Bin restaurant for many years.
In early December 2022, Bobby was diagnosed with small cell lung cancer, undergoing chemotherapy and radiation. As it spread throughout his body, he decided all he wanted was to be surrounded by loved ones. In September 2024, he was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer.
Bobby will be lovingly remembered and missed by his mother, Wanda Darlene Clark; brother, Steven Clark; sister, Starla Clark; girlfriend, Holly Hill; children, Elizabeth Jaskolski, Hanah Capp (Kendall), Jakob Bench; grandchildren, Navia, Ember, Phoenix, McCoy, Harmony; and numerous other family members and friends.
