The High Prairie Pioneers 4-H club capped off a successful year at the Wilson County 4-H Achievement Banquet on Nov. 9 at the First National Bank in Fredonia 4-H Learning Center.
The club was awarded a purple seal. Hunter Reaves received the club reporter award and Delanie Stich won the club secretary award.
In the county project champions section of the program club, members received a number of placings. Members being recognized in the Junior Division were: Ag. Mechanics, Dawson Stich, first; Beef, Timbrel Francis, first; Bucket Calf, Timbrel Francis, first; Sewing & Textiles, Chloe Kuhn, first, and Sapherya Kuhn, second; Dairy, Dawson Stich, first; Fiber Art, Locklynn Vest, first; Food-Nutrition, Locklynn Vest, second; Meat Goat, Dawson Stich, first; Self-Determined, Locklynn Vest, first; Sheep, Gage Gloshen, first, and Cheyanne Gloshen, second; Shopping in Style, Timbrel Francis, first; Swine, Jones Bilby, first.
In the Intermediate Division for county project champions members recognized were: Ag. Achievement pins based on the level of involvement in local, regional and statewide 4-H program activities were awarded to the following members: Membership, Sapherya Kuhn, Gage Gloshen and Cheyanne Gloshen; Bronze Pin, Arlee Kuhn, Chloe Kuhn, Timbrel Francis, Jones Bilby, Locklynn Vest and Loren Vest; Clover Pin, Gabe Engelman, Delanie Stich and Dawson Stich; Emerald Pin, Tinselle Francis and Oliver Bilby; Silver Pin, Addilyn Kuhn; Silver Guard Pin, Caleb Kuhn, Tatum Francis, Garrett Engelman and Hunter Reaves.
The club leaders are Kimberly Francis, Andrew Engelman and Danielle Stich.
Adult volunteers associated with the club were also recognized. Countywide project leaders were Megan Gloshen for Dog Care and Training and Danielle Stich as the Horse leader. The following VIP certified community and project leaders from the club with the years they have served were also recognized: Melonie Vest, one, Megan Gloshen, two, Danielle Stich, two, Andrew Engelman, five, Kimberly Francis, five, Traci Kuhn, 13, Craig Reaves, 16, Sharon Reaves, 17.
