Best Yet 4-H club met Nov. 10

The Best Yet 4-H met Nov. 10th.

The roll call about a favorite sport to play or hobby to participate in and was answered by 29 members, four leaders and a guest. Parliamentarian Kayleigh Watts reported on proper roll call etiquette. Jill Kepley reported about the enrollment deadline is Dec. 1. The Christmas party committee reported that the Christmas party would be at 3 p.m. Dec. 8 and the club would make treats for nursing home residents and go bowling after the meeting.

The festival of trees committee reported that the club would paint snowflakes after the meeting for the Festival of Trees at the Chanute Art Gallery.

In new business the club set a budget for bowling shoes and reservations for the Christmas party at the bowling alley. The club voted to have a float in the Christmas parade, and a committee was formed and a budget was set for it. Reimbursements were approved for the fall party, Christmas ornaments and club fundraiser. The meeting was adjourned. After the meeting, the club had the pork burger drive thru fundraiser and had the drawing for to half a hog raffle. The Osborn family were the raffle winners.
