Diamond Jubilee event

The Neosho County Community College Board of Trustees will attend the Diamond Jubilee Capital Campaign event at 6 p.m. Friday, Nov. 22, in Sanders Auditorium on campus.

Nutrition and budgeting class at Cherryvale

CHERRYVALE — Families Eating Smart and Saving Money is a four-lesson series on nutrition, budgeting and physical activity that will begin on Monday, Nov. 18, at the Cherryvale Public Library. The time will be 6 to 7 p.m.

The goal is to engage adults to participate in activities that encourage healthy eating and saving money. The behavior goals that the participants will focus on are the following: — Eating more meals at home. — Stretching the food dollar. — Eating healthy when eating out. — Moving more every day. All classes are free and include a recipe sampling each week.
