G.A.L.S. F.C.E. Met Monday, October 21, in the Fellowship Hall of Humboldt Methodist Church with 12 members present. President Carol Bauer conducted the meeting opening with a report of the recent State Conference held in Chanute that she attended. She stated the meals, programs and the Humboldt bus tour led by Humboldt’s City Manager were enjoyed by all in attendance.
Reminding members of upcoming FCE events included the District Fall Follies, the SEK Learning Day and the annual Halloween Parade. An update on the December 7 Holiday Market was given and it was voted the club would adopt four children during the Christmas Adopt-a-Kid campaign, when two members will do the shopping.
Michelle Umholtz presented the program, ‘Make Active Habits Stick’; a total of $48.80 was added to the Milk Voucher Project and members recorded 36 volunteer hours for the month. The November meeting will be held on the 18th in the Fellowship Hall with Diana Holmes acting as hostess. The program is ‘to be announced’.
