Quilt month is now through Nov. 15 in Chanute
The Chanute Art Gallery and the Sew’n’Sew Quilt Guild present the annual “Quilt Month” at the Gallery, 17 N. Lincoln, Chanute. The exhibit will continue through Nov. 15. A special quilt is the “opportunity quilt.” Each member of the guild contributed to the creation this outstanding quilt, which will be a prized possession for the lucky ticket buyer. Tickets are available at the Gallery for $1 each or six for $5. Proceeds are given to community support organizations.
The guild members are grateful for the assistance they receive with displaying the quilts from the NCCC Cheerleaders. This is a labor intense task, and the cheerleaders were eager and skilled in getting the quilts displayed in a record setting short amount of time.
Regular gallery hours are Tuesday through Saturday from noon to 4 p.m. Admission is free; however, gifts are accepted. To arrange a private tour, call the gallery at 620-431-7807 or email [email protected].
