EUREKA — Dominating on the road for the second straight week and staying undefeated, the Humboldt Cubs blew away the Eureka Tornadoes, 56-12, in Week 4 on Friday night.
Humboldt led 24-6 through the first quarter and 40-6 by halftime.
Blake Ellis was 9-of-11 passing for 62 yards and a score while the Cubs amassed 301 rushing yards as a squad.
Ellis led the Humboldt rushing attack with 108 yards and a score on 10 carries. Mason Sterling added 100 yards on nine carries. Logan Page, Cole Mathes and Kyler Isbell also notched rushing scores.
Mathes was also on the receiving end of Ellis’ lone touchdown pass.
Defensively, Isbell registered seven tackles while Mathes added five, including two for a loss.
