Louise K. Lassman, formerly of Humboldt and Chanute passed away on Monday, April 7, 2025 at her home in Oakley, California. Louise was born on Dec. 9, 1932 in Humboldt, the daughter of Leslie and Pauline (McMillen) Huffman. Louise grew up in Humboldt and graduated from Humboldt High School in 1950. After high school Louise began working at Southwestern Bell as a switchboard operator. She married LaVerne Lassman in 1955. Friends and family were very important to Louise.
Louise was a member of the St. Peter’s Lutheran Church. Louise also worked at Naff Hardware and Walmart in her later years. Louise was a very special woman and will be missed dearly by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her parents Leslie and Pauline Huffman, her brother Donald Huffman and her husband LaVerne Lassman.
She is survived by her daughter Tamie Gordon; two grandchildren, Chelsey Gordon and Lauren Gordon-Craig; and three great grandchildren, Nadia, Elle and Ivy Craig.
