PARSONS — The Katy Golf Club played host to the Parsons Invitational on Wednesday in boys golf action.
Fort Scott won the team standings with 329 strokes. Chanute placed runner-up with 337 strokes, followed by Coffeyville (390), Pittsburg (395), Labette County (397) and Independence (399).
Fort Scott’s Reece Roberts won the tournament individually, posting a score of 71 over 18 holes, 10 strokes better than runner- up Kobe Patterson out of Chanute.
Chanute had six golfers place in the top-14 — Patterson second (81), Hunter Stokes third (82), Anden Chance fifth (85), Noah Luebbering ninth (89), Logan Axelson 12th (94) and Hayes McKinney 14th (95).
Parsons’ Joe Keal placed seventh with 88 strokes. Grayson Bolt and Brok McDaniel finished 33rd and 34th with scores of 108 and 111, respectively.
Labette County’s Lane Wolsey tied for 10th with 93 strokes. Bryson Dickens placed 18th (99), Reece Ludwig 24th (101), Lucas Hayward 30th (104) and Aaron Wyrick 32nd (105).
