“Heaven is a wonderful place, filled with glory and grace, I can’t wait to see my Saviors face, ‘cause heaven is a wonderful place.”
For followers of Jesus, heaven is more than we can imagine. As 1 Corinthians 2:9 tells us, the wonders that God has prepared for us are beyond human imagination. Heaven is where God dwells. It is sometimes referred to as the “house of God” or the “city of God.” Isaiah 65:17-19 tells us of a place where sorrow and sadness are no more. where we are free from suffering, from pain, and from weeping.
Yet, life can be rough. Think to the crises you’ve navigated. The good news is that you have survived. You are here today. You made it. Philippians 4:13 reminds us that we have come through these crises through Jesus, who walked with us, giving us strength and power.
Jesus understands suffering and pain by the nails impaling Him on a cross. He knows what betrayal is like. He was betrayed with a kiss. He was sold out for money. But by His death and resurrection, He overcame all and shares His victory with us.
Prayer is our lifeline. It is a divine conversation that provides hope and peace. Philippians 4:6-7 encourages us to unload our anxieties before God, and He transforms our worries into peace that is beyond our understanding.
Prayer is a conversation where we can express our frustrations to Him, and where we hear his guidance through the Holy Spirit and Scripture.
Encouragement is essential. We often need to preach truth to our own hearts. Why not create a list of 100 Bible promises for daily uplifting? Key verses like John 16:33, which reassures us that though we have tribulation in this world, He has overcome the world.
Is heaven your hope? Jesus is the door to heaven. He is the way, the truth and life. Have you invited Him to open that door for you? Trust in Him, for He leads to our Heavenly Father’s home.
“Heaven is a wonderful place, filled with glory and grace, I can’t wait to see my Savior’s face, ‘cause heaven is a wonderful place.”
