Ryan Dean Baylor, 36, of Springfield, Missouri, formerly of Chanute, passed away Saturday, March 29, 2025, in Springfield, Missouri.

Ryan Dean Baylor was born in Chanute, on March 26, 1989, to Kelvin Baylor and Carla Ditterline. Ryan spent most of his life in Chanute.

Throughout his working years most of his time was spent as a mechanic or doing construction work. For a time, he worked for his father, Kelly, as a bail enforcement agent, and he really enjoyed that job. Ryan had been working as a tow truck operator for the last few years.

In his free time he enjoyed spending time with his kids, they were his world and they brought back the youth in him. He was loved by everyone and he will be dearly missed.

Ryan is survived by his father, Kelly Baylor, and wife, Lorna; his mother, Carla Ditterline and husband, Albert; his children, Kyli, Layne, Eliyah, Conner, Bellarouge, Beau, and Rebeka; his spouse, Laura Baylor; and his siblings, Quentin Baylor, Wesley Ditterline, Mystic Ditterline, and Ariel Ditterline. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

A celebration of life for Ryan Baylor will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 5, 2025, at Westview Southern Baptist Church, 1415 S. Plummer Ave., Chanute, Kansas. Inurnment will take place at a later date.
