Safari Bassmasters held their first club bass tournament of 2025 on Sunday, March 23, at Big Hill Lake. A gusty northwind was challenging at times, but the weather was otherwise fine for fishing.
Mike Bogle had a solid day with five bass, weighing 16.99 pounds. He has the biggest bass of the day, weighing 5.15 pounds. Bogle caught all of his bass on a Bomber Flat A crankbait.
Mike Morgan took second place with 7.41 pounds.
Loren Smith finished third with 5.24 pounds of bass, and Ron Umbarger finished fourth with 5.10 pounds.
