Artist Alley Next Weekend
This year marks the 55th annual Artist Alley in Chanute, a cherished tradition that highlights local creativity and community spirit. This vibrant event showcases the talents of local artists and offers a wide array of activities for all ages. It’s a wonderful opportunity to support local artists and businesses while enjoying a day full of fun and entertainment.
Artist Alley has been a staple in our community for over half a century, providing a platform for artists to display their work and for visitors to immerse themselves in the rich cultural fabric of Chanute. From its humble beginnings to its current grandeur, the event continues to grow, bringing together families, friends, and art enthusiasts from near and far.
Here’s a snapshot of what to expect at this year’s Artist Alley: Breakfast at 7AM: Start your day with a hearty breakfast hosted by the Masonic Lodge #103.
Car Show and Run for Ollie 5K at 8AM: Admire classic cars at the car show hosted by Howard’s Toys for Big Boys and lace up your running shoes for the 5K race.
Main Attractions 9AM: Enjoy a variety of attractions, including train rides, unique vendor booths, thrilling helicopter rides, a delightful petting zoo, and pony rides.
Homecoming Parade at 11AM: Watch the festive parade celebrating our community’s spirit.
Live Music: Experience performances by the Neosho River Boys at noon, Mike Ashley at 1:30 PM, and RMS Vocal Plus at 3PM.
Don’t miss Brenda’s Dance Academy at noon and the Topeka Drumline at 1PM.
