Leamona FCE Unit met on Jan. 30 to celebrate its Christmas party, which was postponed due to health problems. Members exchanged gifts with each other and snacked on tangelos and candy.

Debbie Goodner was a guest and she decided to join the unit. Debbie chose the theme to answer roll. She chose “Where we were born and how we got our name.”

Janis Reinhardt, president, opened the meeting asking members to turn in our community hours. She asked Mary Dunn, Southeast Council president, for a report what was going on with council. Mary reported she had been preparing numerous reports and that our club yearbook would soon go to press. Janis handed out worksheets that had the programs for the year and who had signed for them.

The next step was to choose the month to present the program. The unit chose autism as the program for a community project. Sharon Carpenter and Edie Godinez will bring back ideas on how to promote this in the community.

The next meeting was Feb. 13.
