The February exhibit at the Chanute Art Gallery is titled “H20.” Each piece has H20 as the theme. The resulting exhibit captures a range of emotions from raging waters to gentle snowflakes. New and familiar returning artists have filled all four galleries with delightful interpretations of the theme.

Two photos chosen from the Core Collection were taken by former photographers from the Chanute Tribune and are hung side-by-side in the Patio Gallery. Hugh Huffman’s “Winter Walk” and Steve Shurley’s “Blizzard Train” bring back memories. Joungmi Ahn shares four pieces of her work in acrylic, which display a variety of themes. These are just examples of the variety of mediums for the viewer.

The exhibition is now open and will run through March 1. The reception will be from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 14, at The Gallery, 17 N. Lincoln. The gallery is open Tuesday through Saturday from noon to 4 p.m.

No admission is charged but gifts are always accepted.
