Fort Hays fall grads

HAYS — Fort Hays State University recognized approximately 1,014 graduates during its fall commencement ceremonies on Dec. 13 and 14.

Joseph Royer of Oswego, education specialist in education innovation and leadership; Joe Campmier of Parsons, master of science in education administration; Joel Forbes of Parsons, bachelor of business administration in finance; and Patricia Hammar of Parsons, bachelor of science in health studies; Chandler Finuf of Chanute, bachelor of science in computer science; and Emily Wade of Chanute, bachelor of science in health and human performance.

Dean’s list at Newman

WICHITA — Newman University has released its 2024 fall dean’s list. A total of 453 undergraduate students achieved the qualifications required: completing at least 12 credit hours and achieving a grade point average of 3.5 or higher.

Area students making the dean’s list were Aidan O’Banion of Parsons and Shyloh Scott of Neodesha.

MidAmerica Nazarene dean’s list

OLATHE — MidAmerica Nazarene University announced its president’s list, dean’s list and honor roll for the fall semester. A total of 458 students qualified for one of the honors.

All students in traditional undergraduate programs carrying 12 semester hours or more with a term GPA from 3.2 to 4.0 may qualify for one of these academic honors. The president’s list is a 4.0 grade point average for the semester; the dean’s list ranges from 3.5 to 3.99; and the honor roll is 3.2 to 3.49.

Area students on the dean’s list are: Aaliyah Colding of Chanute and Ella Burnett of Erie.
