John “Jig” Gerald Williams, 41, Thayer, died Sunday, Oct. 3, 2010 at the Neosho Memorial Regional Medical Center in Chanute.

John was born in Chanute on Sept. 19, 1969, the son of Robert and Brenda Barriger Williams.

He was a self-employed mechanic.

John was united in marriage to Katrina Brecheisen on March 14, 2002. She survives, of the home.

He was loved by all and because he had a big heart, he had many friends.

Along with his wife, Katrina, he is survived by his parents; a son, Dillon Williams, Thayer; two daughters, Faith Williams, Thayer, and Patience Rogers, St. Louis, Mo.; a grandfather, John K. Barriger, Benedict; a grandmother, Maxine F. Baker, Humboldt; and brothers and sisters.

Funeral will be 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 6 at the Penwell-Gabel Johnson Chapel in Chanute.

The family will receive friends this evening from 6 to 8 p.m. Memorials in his name may be made to an Education Fund for Faith Williams and may be left with the funeral home.
