Raymond Theodore Wasley, 48, Chanute, died Tuesday, Sept. 21, 2010 at the Neosho Memorial Regional Medical Center in Chanute.
Raymond was born in Hartford, Wis., on Sept. 3, 1962, the son of Harold and Esther Hasby Wasley. He attended Harding High School and later received his Welding Accredited Certificate from Neosho County Community College.
He was united in marriage to Jackie Shrum on March 15, 2000. She survives.
Raymond worked as a welder for Magna Tech in Chanute.
Along with his wife, Jackie, he is survived by his mother, Esther Vick; his children, Savannah Wasley, Ashley Wright and her husband, Nathan, Heather Holland and her husband, Jamie, Jessica Wasley, Stephanie Streeter and her husband, Pat, Ashley Wasley, Raymond Wasley Jr., and Mindy Morgan; 17 grandchildren; two brothers, Sam Wasley and his wife, Cindy, Hartford, Wis., and Steve Wasley and his wife, Patty, Thief River Falls, Minn.; and three sisters, Wanda Roth and her husband, Tim, Maplewood, Minn., Valerie Raff and her husband, Jack, Hubertus, Wis., and Jodi Shrum and her husband, Mason, Chanute.
He was preceded in death by his father, Harold Wasley, and a sister, Kay Jeka.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 29 at the Memorial Park Cemetery.
Friends may call on Tuesday, Sept. 28 from noon to 8 p.m.
Memorials in his name may be made to Jackie Wasley, widow of the deceased, and may be left with the funeral home.
