Lesley E. “Les” Lorenz, 82, Parsons, died Tuesday, Sept. 14, 2010 at the Parsons Presbyterian Manor.

He was born July 25, 1928, at Loyal, Okla., to Harry and Freda Weber Lorenz. He graduated from Loyal High School in 1946 and movedwith his parents to a farm north of Altamont in 1951.

He worked on the family farm and at the O. E. Woods Lumber Co. before becoming employed by Union Gas Co.

He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Parsons.

On Dec. 25, 1951 he married Nadine Amrine at the First Baptist Church of Parsons.

Survivors include his wife, of the home; two daughters, the Rev. Debi Lorenz, Parsons, Connie Bolt, Parsons; two grandsons; five great-grandchildren.

Funeral will be 1:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 17 at the First Baptist Church in Parsons. Burial will be in Memorial Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Carson-Wall Funeral Home from 7 to 8 p.m. this evening.
