Carl Evenson, 39, Raton, N.M., died in a motorcycle accident Sunday, Aug. 29, 2010.

Born Jan. 31, 1972, he was he son of Robert G. and Marjorie J. Norris Evenson. He graduated from Humboldt High School. He worked for Consolidated Oil and transferred to Colorado.

He married Linda Morgan in New Mexico. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Mound Valley.

He is survived by his wife, Linda; sons Matthew, Kyler and Robert; sister Carolyn Baxter, Kansas City, Mo., Sharon Shoop, Cherryvale, and Charlene Anderson, Humboldt.

Funeral will be 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 5 at First Baptist Church, Mound Valley. Burial will be in Harmony Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be 3 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Potts Chapel, Cherryvale, with the family receiving friends from 6 to 8 p.m.

Memorials to his children’s memorial fund may be left with the funeral home.
