Wilbur “Bill” Seitz, 101, died Sunday, Aug. 8, 2010 in Fairbanks, Alaska.

He was born Nov. 29, 1908 in Earlton to Harlan Otis and Catherine Boerstler Seitz.

In 1932 he married Mary Martha Markham of Chanute.

Following WWII he and his family went to Alaska with the Pieter Kiewit Construction Co. He operated Seitz Building and Supply in Delta Junction for 24 years, before retiring at age 75.

He was preceded in death by his wife Mary of 30 years and his wife Viola of 37 years.

He is survived by a daughter, Leta Thurman; a son, Harlan Seitz; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a sister Alice Shue, Oswego; and a brother, John Seitz, Lake City, Fla.

Funeral was Friday, Aug. 13, at Chapel of Chimes Funeral Home, Fairbanks. Burial was in Delta Junction.
