Anna “Mary” Fegel, 82, Chanute, died Monday, July 5, 2010 at the Neosho Memorial Regional Medical Center.

Mary was born in Chanute on August 25, 1927, the daughter of Cecil and Hazel Arnett. She graduated from Chanute High School and Chanute Junior College.

She was united in marriage to Glen Eldon Fegel on May 24, 1952. He preceded her in death on Nov. 5, 2003.

She was a bookkeeper.

Mary was a member of the First Christian Church, a Charter member of the Southeast Kansas Bottle and Relic Club, and the Chanute Historical Society.

She is survived by a daughter, Sherry Mugrage and her husband, Gene, Chanute; two grandchildren, Brian Coots and his wife, Lisa, Mountain Home, Ark. and Brad Coots and his wife, Kaci, Girard; three great-grandchildren, Tucker and Tylar, Mountain Home, Ark., and Quincey, Girard; and a brother, Bob Arnett, LaHarpe.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Glen; and a brother, John Arnett.

Funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 8, at the First Christian Church. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Friends may call today from 1 to 7 p.m. . at the Penwell-Gabel Johnson Chapel.

Memorials in her name may be made to the First Christian Church or the Southeast Kansas Bottle and Relic Club and may be left with the funeral home.
