Martha Ellen Weide, 95, Yates Center, died Monday, December 23, 2008, at Yates Center Health Center.

She was born Oct. 28, 1913, in West Buffalo to George F. and Chestine Kennedy Ibbetson. She graduated from Buffalo High School in 1932.

She married John Weide on April 1, 1939. He preceded her in death.

The couple purchased the Old Town site of Kalida.

Survivors include a son, John O. Weide Jr., Chandler, Ariz.; a daughter, Vickie Pickering, Alamogordo, N.M.; a brother, George Ibbetson, Yates Center; three grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Funeral will be 1 p.m. Monday at Campbell Funeral Home, Yates Center.

Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
