Helen M. Link, 83, Yates Center, died Friday, December 12, 2008.

She was born June 8, 1925, in Geneva to Tal and Mettie Klages Sherwood. She attended County Line School in Geneva.

She married Edward E. “Ed” Link on Oct. 11, 1949, in Iola. He died July 11, 1997.

She and her husband farmed and raised cattle in the Owl Creek community. She was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Yates Center.

Survivors include two sons, Robert D. and Daniel “Boomer” Link, both of Yates Center; two daughters, Debbie Link, Yates Center, and Donna Hawley, Iola; eight grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

Funeral will be 2 p.m. Monday at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Yates Center. A rosary will be said at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Campbell Funeral Home, Yates Center.
