Glen “Scott” Redburn, 51, Afton, Okla., died Wednesday May 19, 2010 in Grove, Okla. Scott was born Dec. 25, 1958 in Chanute, to Harold and Marjorie “Jean” McVicker Redburn.

Scott worked many years in the Grand Lake area at marinas and as a heavy equipment operator. He has resided at Woodland Shores for the past 20 years.

Scott loved to work on motors and any thing with his hands. While growing up he enjoyed horseback riding, camping and motorcycles. After moving to the lake he enjoyed boating with family and friends. His favorite pass time was socializing with friends and residents at the Light House and Sugar Shack. Scott never met a stranger.

He is survived by his parents, Chanute; a son, Travis Redburn Ulrich, Wichita; two sisters, Sandy Redburn, Chanute, and Trish Thomas, Miami, Okla.; three brothers, Gary Redburn, Las Vegas, Ron Redburn, Phoenix, and Richard Redburn, Paola; and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial celebration will be scheduled at a later date. Cooper-Althouse Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
