Bertha A. “Nanny” Wilmot, 93, Chanute, died Friday, December 5, 2008, at Heritage Health Center.

She was born May 28, 1915, in Chanute to Raymond and Ethel Glover.

She married Harvey Johnson in 1933. He died during World War II. She married Charles Wilmot in Chanute in 1956. He also preceded her in death.

She worked as a machine operator in the clothing industry.

Survivors include a daughter, Doris J. Love, Chanute; a son, Charles P. Wilmot II, Chanute; six grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Edwin Glover; and a sister, Mildred Glover.

Cremation has taken place. Graveside services will be held at a later date when final arrangements have been completed. Arrangements are under the direction of Penwell-Gabel Johnson Chapel.

Contributions may be made to Southern Care Hospice of Pittsburg may be left with the funeral home.
