Beuford Elwin “Beau” Tindal, 73, formerly of Chanute, died Saturday, November 29, 2008, at his daughters’ home, surrounded by his family, after a long battle with cancer.

He was born on April 4, 1935, in Randlett, Okla., to Elmer William and Clara León Marsh Tindal. He grew up in Madera, Calif., graduating from Madera High School in 1953.

He served in the U. S. Navy from April 1953 to March 1957, and then received his Bachelors in Electrical Engineering from Cal-Poly San Luis Obispo in June 1961.

He had a long and distinguished career in management within a number of prominent electronics and computer businesses.

Survivors inclue his wife of 52 years, Wilma Jean “Jeanne” Russell Tindal, Missouri; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Michael Paul Tindal, Missouri, and Larry Dean and Paulla Tindal, Montana; a daughter, Donna Michelle Tindal Barnett, Missouri; and eight grandchildren, Jamie Nicole and Jessica¬†Lynn Barnett,¬†Ian Michael, Alexia Jean,¬†Kyle Allen, Andrew Mackenzie, Zachariah Beau and William Robert Tindal; four siblings and their spouses, Elmer Ray and Christine Tindal, Visalia, Calif., Juanita and Mark Ward, Clovis, Calif., Elmer Edwin and Linda Tindal, Madera, Calif., and Larry Dale and Wanda Tindal, Orland, Calif.; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

He is preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Doris Janelle Ward and May Jean Garrison.

A private family memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Heartland Cremation and Burial Society, Columbia, Mo.
