Lawrence H. Gillham, 88, Moran, died Sunday, November 16, 2008, at Moran Manor.

He was born Sept. 14, 1920, east of Bayard to Charles Laurel and Irma Irita Zornes Gillham.

He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He drove a school bus for the Moran district for 18 years.

He married Winona Jefferis in 1948 at Girard. She died in 1986.

Survivors include a son, Johnny Gillham, Humboldt; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; and several step-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Ben Gillham; two sisters, Juanita and Margie; and a step-son, Robert Rhodes.

Graveside funeral will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Moran Cemetery under the direction of Feuerborn Family Funeral Service, Moran.
