Nellie “Maxine” Wofford, 91, Fredonia, died Thursday, November 13, 2008, at Cherryvale Care Center.

She was born June 26, 1917, in Chetopa.

She was a surgical nurse aide at St. Margaret’s Mercy Hospital, Fredonia, for many years.

She married David P. Wofford in 1940. He died May 10, 2008.

She was a member of CME Church.

She is survived by several cousins, including Virginia Wheaton and Bud Riley, both of Fredonia, and Richard Riley, Bartlesville, Okla.

Funeral will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Timmons Chapel. Arrangements are under the direction of Timmons Funeral Home, Fredonia.

Visitation will be from 2 to 6 p.m. Monday and 9 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
