Estelle Gladys Wells, 90, a lifelong resident of Fredonia, died Monday, Oct. 27, 2008 at Fredonia Regional Hospital. She was born Nov. 28, 1917 in Fredonia, the daughter of Harry Ralph and Georgia Mae Armstrong Giles. She was retired after 35 years of working as a beautician.
In 1936, she married Roy Findley. He preceded her in death. She later was married to Orval Wells and they were divorced.
Survivors include three sisters, Margaret Rodriguez, Beaumont, Virginia Nelson, Fredonia, Barbara Bird, Oklahoma City, Okla.
Graveside memorial service was held on Thursday at Fredonia City Cemetery. A memorial has been established in her name with the Christian Thrift Shop and may be sent to Timmons Funeral Home, PO Box 168, Fredonia, KS 66736.
