Doris M. Dalton, 90, Oswego, formerly of Chanute, died Monday, October 27, 2008, at Oswego Nursing Center.
She was born July 10, 1918, in Chanute to Walter and Effie Gibson Cox. She attended Chanute public schools, graduating from Chanute High School and Chanute Junior College.
She married Lloyd Dalton on Nov. 29, 1937, in Chanute. He died on June 15, 1976.
She was a homemaker.
Survivors include two sons, Larry Dalton, Oswego, and Adrian Dalton, Dodge City; nine grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by a son, Max Dalton; a granddaughter, Tracy Dalton; a great-granddaughter; a great-grandson; and a sister, Lois Mee.
Cremation has taken place. Graveside inurnment will be 10 a.m. Friday at Memorial Park Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Penwell-Gabel Johnson Chapel.
Contributions may be made to the First Presbyterian Church in Chanute in care of the funeral home.
