Willard Vaughn Cline, 90, a lifelong resident of Fredonia, died Sunday, March 10, 2013 at Fredonia Regional Hospital. He was born Oct. 7, 1922 in Fredonia, the son of Willard Noble and Grace Frances Harbin Cline. Vaughn served in the United States Army during World War II, 1943-1946.

On June 15, 1947 at the Chanute United Methodist Church, Vaughn was united in marriage to Erma Pauline Stuckey. She survives, of the home.

Vaughn and Pauline owned and operated their farm and ranch for more than 64 years. In 2011, they sold the farm and moved into Fredonia. Vaughn was a lifetime member of the First Christian Church in Fredonia.

In addition to his wife, Pauline, he is survived by his sister, Valetta Templeman of Oklahoma City, Okla.; three nieces including Alice Marie Eck of Fredonia; six great-nieces, four great-nephews, numerous great-great-nieces and nephews, and four great-great-great-nieces and nephews.

Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. today, March 12, at Timmons Funeral Home. Private family inurnment will take place in the Fredonia City Cemetery.
