Everett E. Morris, 87, a lifelong resident of Wilson and Greenwood counties, died at his home Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2013. He was born July 25, 1925 in Climax, the son of Edward L. and Grace Larcom Morris. Everett was employed by General Portland Cement/Lafarge, Inc. for many years, retiring in 1981. He was also a full-time farmer and rancher.
On March 8, 1945 in Fredonia, Everett was united in marriage to Helen Marie Culbertson. She survives, of the home.
Everett was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Fredonia
He is also survived by a son, Dr. Terry Morris, Fredonia; a daughter, Peggy Ogle, Fredonia; a sister, Velda White, Fredonia; seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
A memorial services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 2 at Timmons Funeral Home Chapel, Fredonia. Private inurnment will take place in the Fredonia City Cemetery.
