Audrey Irene Plumlee Clifton, 101, of Humboldt, former longtime Rocky Comfort, Mo., resident, died Sunday, Jan. 27, 2013, at Chanute HealthCare Center.

Audrey was born Jan. 16, 1912, in Rocky Comfort, the only child of Oscar Esmond and Bessie Link Plumlee. She grew up in Rocky Comfort and graduated from high school there.

On Feb, 20, 1930, Audrey married Roy Carl Clifton and they made their home in Rocky Comfort. In 2001, they moved to Humboldt to be near their daughter. He died May 3, 2003.

She had been a member of the Bethlehem Methodist Church at Rocky Comfort.

Survivors include a daughter, Ava Marney of Humboldt; eight grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two sons, Harold and Kervyn Clifton.

Graveside service will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 2 at Rocky Comfort Cemetery, Rocky Comfort, Mo.
