Kenneth Eugene Hartman, age 88, of Moran died Saturday, Jan. 12, 2013 at Windsor Place in Iola.

He was born June 2, 1924, in Mound City, the son of Edward and Grace Huggins Hartman. Kenny married Nellie Ray Hickman on August 10, 1949 in Garnett. She preceded him in death. He then married Betty Jean Higginbottom-Bohnert on Nov. 25, 1966 in Vinita, Okla. She also preceded him in death.

Kenny worked in the oil fields in the surrounding area. He was a Jack of all Trades.

Kenny was also preceded in death by a daughter, Rose Covey; and stepdaughter, Jeannie Eravi.

He is survived by his children, Nina Thompson of Pomona, Sally Powelson of Moran, Gene Hartman of LaHarpe, Dale Hartman of Moran, Charles Bohnert of Fenton, Mo.; 24 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 16 at the Feuerborn Family Funeral Service Chapel in Moran. Burial to follow in Oakwood Cemetery, Centerville. The family will be present to greet friends from 6 to 8 p.m.this evening at the funeral home in Moran.
