Marie Eleana Sinclair, 71, rural Humboldt, died Thursday, Dec. 27, 2012, at Neosho Memorial Regional Medical Center in Chanute.
Marie was born Sept. 9, 1941, the daughter of Frank and Mary Kipp Heiman on a farm northwest of Humboldt. She spent most of her childhood in the Humboldt area and graduated from Humboldt High School.
On Dec. 16, 1961, Marie married Jerry R. Sinclair at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Humboldt. She did in-home care and then worked for Pinecrest Nursing Home in Humboldt before she retired.
She was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Humboldt. She and Jerry loved horseback riding, trail rides, and in later years entering their wagon in area parades. She enjoyed reading, following KU basketball and having dinner out with her special friends, Joyce, Chris, Sylvia and Denise.
Survivors are her husband Jerry Sinclair, of the home; three children, Rebecca Spino and husband, Brad, of Salida, Colo., Denise Marie Schomaker and husband, Frank, Jr. of Humboldt, and Angela Moulin and husband, Shawn, Fairway; six siblings, Bob Heiman and Sylvia York, both of Humboldt, Dan Heiman of Moran, Betty Heppler of Wichita, Kenneth Heiman of Scranton, and Charles Heiman of Piqua; eight grandchildren, Faith Spino, Emily Marie Hamm and husband, Kyle, Bill Schomaker, Alex Marie Piatt, William Moulin, Justin Todd Sinclair, Jeffrey Ray Sinclair and Jericka Hare and husband, Shane; six grreat-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Raymond Dean Sinclair on Jan. 22, 2000, and by one brother, Bill Heiman.
Parish rosary will be 7 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 30, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Humboldt.
Visitation will follow in the church Parish Hall.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m., Monday at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church.
Burial will be in St. Joseph’s Cathlic Cemetery, Humboldt.
Memorials are suggested to St. Joseph’s Catholic Church.
