Jack Acree, 58, Fulton, Ky., a former Chanute resident, died Saturday, Dec. 8, 2012 at his home. He had lived in the area since 1996.

He was born Dec. 3, 1954 in Wichita.

He was a member of the Central Baptist Church in Martin, Tenn., and was a retired minister and Bible Professor at the Mid-Continent University in Mayfield, Ky.

He is survived by his wife, Shelly, Fulton, Ky.; two daughters, Charissa Acree. Louisville, Ky., and Jacilyn Acree, Huntsville, Ala.; a son, Charles Acree, Arlington, Ky.; three sisters, Cheryl Smith, Olathe, Sandra Lopeman of Garnett, Kathy Alford of Houston, Texas; two brothers, Robert Acree, Hartford, Randy Acree, Tucson, Ariz.; and his parents, Clyde and Nola Acree, Hartford.

Funeral will be 11 a.m. today, Dec. 11, at First United Methodist Church in Fulton, Ky. He will lie in state at the church after 10 a.m. until the service time.
