June Bryan, 89, of Parsons, died Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2012, at Parsons Good Samaritan Society.
She was born July 8, 1923, in Mt. Hope to Jesse and Lizzie Pearl Hinch Tafoya. She moved with her family to Neodesha as a child.
She and Walter Bryan were married on April 5, 1941 in Cherryvale. She and Walter made their home on a farm near Neodesha that had been in the family for 103 years. In June of 2008, the couple moved to Parsons. Walter preceded her in death on Feb. 23, 2010.
She was a member of the Bethel Church of God in Neodesha.
Survivors include two daughters, Mary Ann Bryan of Thayer, Frances McGinnes of Parsons; 13 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; 20 great-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Bruce Tafoya of Clearwater, Gene Tafoya of Altus, Okla.; a sister, Joyce Mantzke, Joshua, Texas.
She was preceded in death by a son and daughter-in-law, Walter Lee and Cherol Bryan, and a daughter, Delores June Cohee.
Funeral will be 2 p.m., Monday, Dec. 10 at the Bethel Church of God in Neodesha. Burial will be in Shelly Cemetery near Neodesha. The family will receive friends from 4 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the Forbes-Hoffman Funeral Home in Parsons.
