Betty Jo Lowry, 78, of Chanute, died Tuesday, Oct. 30, 2012 at Neosho Memorial Regional Medical Center in Chanute.

Betty was born in Aguilar, Colo., on Jan. 23, 1934, the daughter of Joseph and Panola Dooms Skraznas.

She graduated from Chanute High School and was a homemaker.

Betty is survived by two children, Ricky Dean Lowry and wife, Sharrie, of Humboldt, and Lorita Harvey of Bartlesville, Okla.; one daughter-in-law, Serena Lowry of Zirconia, N.C.; six grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; one sister-in-law, Nadine Garcia of Chanute; and her best friend, Betty Barney of Chanute.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and one son, Kerry Lynn Lowry.

Cremation has taken place.

Graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 10 at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Humboldt.

Memorials in her name may be made to The Faith House and may be left with the funeral home.
