Sharon Lynn Carlson, 43, died Tuesday, August 28, 2012, at her home in Chanute. She was born Nov. 30, 1968, in Iola, the daughter of John Edward “Jack” and Ruby Horgan Lewis. She graduated from Moran High School, and attended Allen County Community College. She was united in marriage to Bret Carlson on July 10, 2010. Sharon had worked as a home health aide for several years.

In addition to her mother, and her husband, Sharon is survived by her daughter, Ricci Fogle, Chanute; her sister, Lisa Parker, Kansas City, Mo.; and two brothers, Matt Lewis and wife, Earlene, Savonburg, and Greg Lewis and wife, Michele, Chanute. Sharon was preceded in death by her father, “Jack” Lewis.

It was Sharon’s wish to be cremated. The family will host a memorial service Saturday, Sept. 1, at noon at Ambassador Christian Church, Chanute.

Memorial contributions may be made in care of the family, for an education fund, established for Ricci Fogle. These may also be left at the funeral home.
