Jim Pence, 68, Chanute, died Sunday, July 29, 2012 at Neosho Memorial Regional Medical Center in Chanute.

Jim was born in Berryville, Ark., on May 25, 1944, the son of Clifford and Gracie Couey Shrum. He married Marjorie Turner on July 28, 1963 in Chanute.

He loved country and gospel music, movies, and especially spending time with his grandchildren.

Jim is survived by his wife, Marjorie Pence, Chanute; two daughters, Missy Isaac and husband, Warren, of Chanute, and Kim Trowbridge and husband, Luke, of Chanute; five grandchildren, Devon, Lyndsie, Cooper, Madisyn, and Brady; one brother, Jack Shrum of Chanute; and two sisters, Evelyn Dotson of Springdale, Ark., and Linda Williams of Rogers, Ark.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Gary and Keith Shrum.

Funeral will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, August 2 at Penwell-Gabel Johnson Chapel. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Memorials in his name may be made to the Healing Center Church of God and may be left with the funeral home.
