Ronald Lee “Ron” Jackson, 75, died July 23, 2012 at his home in Joplin, Mo. Ron was born Dec. 25, 1936 in Oshkosh, Neb., to Alta Mary and Joseph Buren Jackson. Ron was a sales rep for the W. Evans Company and has lived in the Joplin area for the past 15 years.

Ron was preceded in death by his wife Joyce Lee Jackson on Dec, 17, 1996. Born from this union was one daughter Julia Ann Jackson from Overland Park and one son Daniel Joseph Jackson of Topeka.

Ron was united in marriage to Karen Cagle Taylor on Sept. 13, 1997 in Oronogo, Mo. She survives. Also surviving are two stepdaughters Kelly Kim Cagle Smalling from Springfield, Mo., and Cortnee Lynee Cagle Eaton of Carl Junction, Mo., one stepson, Christopher Leo Cagle; 10 grandchildren; two sisters, Joann Phillips of Chanute and Bonnie Barnett of Kansas City, Kan.; and two brothers, Jim Dale Jackson of Tulsa, Okla., and Wayne Jackson of Iola.

Ron was preceded in death by both parents, one Sister Barbara Triune and one brother Richard Jackson.

Services will be at 1 p.m. today July 26, at the Ulmer Funeral Home Chapel Carthage, Mo. Visitation will be from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. today at the Ulmer Funeral Home Chapel.
