Carl M. Harvey, Jr,, 69, died June 26, 2012 at his home in Little River. He was born April 8, 1943 in Buffalo, to Carl M. and Treva L. King Harvey. He graduated from Midway High School in 1961 and from Emporia State University in 1966, and later from Fort Hays and Kansas State University.
He was a retired school administrator and teacher. He also coached basketball, football, and track for 40 plus years at various levels.
On June 1, 1968, Carl married Reita K. Galliart in Dorrance. She survives. Other survivors include three sons, David and wife, Jackie, Little River, Darin and wife, Stacie, Wichita, and Daniel and wife, Cheryl, Arlington, Texas; five grandsons, Grant and Peyton Harvey, Little River, Joseph Harvey, Wichita, Tucker and Jackson Harvey, Arlington, Texas; brother, Leonard Harvey and wife, Linda, Benedict; sister, Carol Barnaby and husband Bill, Longton; and many nieces and nephews.
Carl was preceded in death by his parents, brother Larry Harvey and sister Darlene Dorn.
Cremation has taken place. Memorial service will be 11 a.m. today at the Little River School Gym with Pastor Tim Carey officiating.
