Marie Chandler, 82, Protection, died Thursday, May 17, 2012 at Protection Valley Manor.

She was born August 18, 1929 at Neodesha to John L. and Edith A. Crocker Clark.

She married Harold E. Chandler on August 7, 1947 in Iola. He survives.

She was a cook.

She moved from Chanute to Protection in 2004. She was a member of the Otterbein United Methodist Church in Chanute and the Protection United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Harold Chandler, Protection; two daughters, Cindy Pence, Lawrence, and Kathy Foust, Coldwater; two sisters, Dorothy Parker, Independence, and Jean Brown, Wichita; three grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Funeral is 2 p.m. Monday at the United Methodist Church in Protection. Burial in Protection Cemetery.

Calling times: 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday at Hatfield-Prusa Funeral Home, Coldwater.
