Cindy Ann Smith, 46, died early Tuesday morning, May 15, 2012 at her home in St. Paul following a two-year courageous battle with cancer.
Cindy was born Sept. 21, 1965, in Parsons, to Robert and Carlene Harrison Yarnell. The family lived in Erie during her early years and then moved to St. Paul, where she has resided since. Cindy graduated from St. Paul High School in 1984 and then attended Labette Community College.
From 2000 to 2004 Cindy was employed at the St. Paul School and since 2004 has worked at the Farmers National Bank of Walnut.
Cindy was a member of the First Baptist Church of Erie.
On Feb, 14, 1987 Cindy was married to Tim Smith at St. Paul. He survives, of the home.
Other survivors include three daughters – all of the home – Andrea, Allison and Breanna Smith; her parents, Robert and Carlene Yarnell, St. Paul; two brothers, Randy Yarnell Arma, Rodney Yarnell, Frontenac; two sisters, Tammy Shoemaker, St. Paul, Brenda Smith, Parsons.
Funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at the First Baptist Church in Erie. Burial will be in Hope Cemetery at St. Paul. She will lie in state at the Carson-Wall Funeral Home in St. Paul after 10 a.m. Thursday, and the family will receive friends there from 7 to 8 p.m., Thursday.
