Michael Alan Gird, 45, Iola, died Sunday, January 25, 2009, at his home.
He was born Feb. 28, 1963, in El Dorado to Frank and Judith Silbey Gird. He graduated from Yates Center High School in 1981.
He was employed with the Kansas State Highway Department for more than 20 years.
Survivors include a brother, Tim Gird, Iola; and three sisters, Jamie Matile, Yates Center, Melanie Zorn, Wichita, and Michelle Mull, Winfield.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Richard, on Jan. 23, 2005.
Funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Campbell Funeral Home. Inurnment will be at Yates Center Cemetery.
