Rosemary McNeill, 80, Overland Park, died Wednesday, April 4, 2012.

Rosemary was born Nov. 23, 1931 in Erie, to Paul and Louise Gallagher Lowe. She spent her formative years in Chanute. Rosemary married Bill McNeill, from Fronten0ac, in 1949 and moved to Kansas City, where they raised their two children. Rosemary worked for the Kansas City Eye Clinic in Overland Park for more than 30 years.

Survivors include her loving husband of 62 years, William D. McNeill; her two children, William Kent McNeill and wife, Susan, DeSoto, and Marsha Prater and husband, Louis, Shawnee; three grandchildren, Chad Prater and wife, Nikki, Amy Prater, of Shawnee, and Emily McNeill, Overland Park; and two great-grandchildren, Lynzie and Cody Prater, Shawnee.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, April 7, 1:15-2 p.m., with a funeral service to follow at 2 p.m., at D.W. Newcomer’s Sons Johnson County Chapel. Entombment will follow the service.
