Roger Wayne “Rog” Collins, 63, Fredonia, died Friday, March 23, 2012 at his home. Roger was born Jan. 19, 1949 in Fredonia, the son of Willard Lee and Norma Sue Cook Collins.

Roger was a graduate of Fredonia High School Class of 1967. He was a member of the Methodist Church. He worked as a foreman in the oil and gas field industry; he also enjoyed taking care of his farm.

On May 28, 2005, Roger married Peggy Lee Scheidt. She survives, of the home.

Including his wife Peggy, Roger is survived by two daughters, Cari Short, McPherson, Chelsea Hallacy, Fall River; brother, Kevin Collins, Strong City, sister, Kathi Hudson, Parsons; three grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 28 at Countryside Funeral Home. Burial to follow at the Fredonia City Cemetery. Visitation will be this evening from 6-7:30 p.m. at the funeral Home.
