Lois Mott, 88, longtime resident of the Lafontaine and Fredonia area, died Friday, April 15, 2011 at Fredonia Regional Hospital. She was born Jan. 5, 1923 in Pittsburg, the daughter of William and Katherine Ann Maletz McGinnis.

On April 18, 1951 in Bentonville, Ark., Lois married Floyd E. Mott. He preceded her in death Nov. 2, 1970.

Lois was a member of the Buxton Christian Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Kathy McBriarty, of Connecticut; a brother, Bill Myers, Coos Bay, Ore.; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Her long-time companion, Richard Preble, preceded her in death. Funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 20 at Timmons Funeral Home. Visitation will be Wednesday, 9 a.m. until service time.
