Betty Rose Nold, 79, Humboldt, died Sunday, March 27, 2011 at the Heritage Health Care Center in Chanute.

Betty was born in Bedford, Ind., on August 26, 1931, the daughter of Ferd and Lennie Jones Colvin.

She was united in marriage to Robert J. Nold on July 29, 1950 in Atlanta, Iowa. He preceded her in death on Sept. 4, 1993.

She was a homemaker.

Betty is survived by two daughters, Jewel Davis and her husband, Greg, Wichita, and Stephanie Schomaker and her husband, Todd, Humboldt; two sons, Robert Nold and his wife, Linda, Humboldt, and Richard Nold and his wife, Kim, Wichita; six grandchildren, Cheyenne Schomaker and Caley Schomaker of Humboldt, Dalton Davis and Garrett Davis of Wichita and Johnathan Nold and Tiffany Nold of Wichita.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Robert, and a sister, Jewel Williams.

Mass of Christian Burial will 10:30 a.m. Friday, April 1 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Humboldt. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Humboldt.

Rosary will be recited at 10 a.m. Friday at the church prior to the service.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday 5 to 7 p.m. at the Penwell-Gabel Humboldt Chapel.

Memorials in her name may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church or the American Heart Association and may be left with the funeral home.
